Meals on Wheels have been a trusted household name for over 60 years, and with good reason. Each year across Australia Meals on Wheels delivers around 14 million meals, by more than 100,000 volunteers, to around 60,000 people.

Meals on Wheels promotes independence and social capital with three key outcomes delivered in one service.

  1. A meal (nutrition)
  2. A safety and well being check (monitoring of physical and psychological well-being)
  3. Social cohesiveness (strengthening communities / locals helping locals)

Our preventative care model aims to assist people short or long term who are frail, recovering from an illness or have a disability, and those carers who assist them.

The simple idea behind it and the sense of service that drives the organisation is something many can relate to, but it’s something we can only do together, with your support.

Age and disability reduces some people’s capacity to get out and about, Meals on Wheels makes it possible for people to stay at home, where they are most happy and can maintain a sense of dignity and independence.

“I came every week to socialise and enjoy the fun and support I get from the volunteers and other people. It is a fun day, many thanks.”– Meals on Wheels Eurobodalla client

Our weekly delivery of nutritious meals, come with the added benefit of social interaction and a friendly welfare check. The smile our volunteers get when that door opens makes all the hard work worthwhile.

Donations from the community allow us to give people options, we help people live the lives they choose, freedom you can perhaps relate to and want to share.

“I cannot speak highly enough of your service, all aspects are great, your people truly make my day.” – Meals on Wheels Eurobodalla client.

Each year Meals on Wheels Eurobodalla provides around 40 000 meals to people living in the community, which has a positive influence not just to those people, but the people across the wider community.

Whilst we understand there are many organisations that are fighting for your donation, we appreciate your consideration for our cause.

We would be grateful for your donation of any size. . An organisation like ours can take your dollar further, adding weight to your generosity through our volunteer army. For every dollar you donate, 100% will reach the recipient, we try to ensure that your dollar goes further.

We succeed and the people we help succeed through the efforts of our volunteers and donations from people like you.
