We are 'Out and About' again

Eurobodalla Meals on Wheels is 'more than just a meal' service.

The organisation has many services for the local community including our Group Social Support known as Out and About.

On Monday November 1st, we started going out and about again and the clients and volunteers were very happy to do so.

The chatter and laughter could be heard by those who passed by the various venues, picnic spots and in the dining room at the Tomakin Club on Melbourne Cup day.

The group meets over three days with a revised programme.

Monday is at the Youth Cafe which is part of the community cenytre in Narooma.

Tuesday remains the very popular Lunch About day. This will see clients enjoying a morning tea picnic at a lovely coastal locartion before going to enjoy a cafe, club, restaurant locally or further afield such as in Mollymook, Braidwood, Bermagui or, as has become a tradition, christmas shopping in Cabargo.

Thursday is at the community centre in Malua Bay.

Our bus, or one of the cars, will pick up each client and take them home at the end of the day; morning tea and lunch is always enjoyed and a range of activies are completed...the Spring programme has been very exciting.

The summer programme is about to be announced and anyone who maybe interested in joing the group can contact the office for further information. The number to ring is 4474 4464.

The other activities offered are Meals, Individual Social Support (gardening, cuppa chat, being taken to appointments, shopping assistance), a support group for dementia sufferers, and an Elders Social Group at Wallaga Lake. Contact us if you would like information on any of these.
